Earl is a low-life who buys a winning lottery ticket, only to get hit by a car, losing the ticket in the process. He then becomes aware of in the hospital that his bad luck is the result of karma in which fate punishes him for all the rotten things he's ever done in his life; therefore, he then decides to dedicate his life to making amends to all the people he has hurt in his life.The Show has everything that a good show need... The first thing to make this comedy get noticed is it's original story line. For once its not just some crazy couple in love, or the life of some teenage kid. This is a show that doesn't just make you laugh... it makes you happy. Seeing Earl do good deeds and change people's lives is wonderful. Seeing the relationship Earl has with his brother is very touching as well. This is a great show with lots of heart, and if you don't find yourself smiling.... See a doctor. There is a lot of character growth and you will probably find yourself liking the characters more and more every episode. This show was fantastic and it have many unexpected moments. And the My Name Is Earl dvd is also awesome! just enjoy...
